Neckbone Sled Dog Race Results
Jan 13-14, 2007
There has been some unexpected cat work done on the bush trail linking Egg Lake to Highway 2.  This past week, a cat cleared the trail from Highway 2 to about 2 miles west to access a gravel pit where some crushing will be done this winter.  The cleared path is down to the bare muskeg.  We did not get the snow that was forecast, so we are going to cancel the lake and bush part of Day #1.  Instead, we will race straight south along Highway 2 on Day #1.  This will shorten Day #1 by 13 km (8 miles).  Mushers will run the exact same trail on both Day #1 and Day #2---89 km (54 miles) each day.
