This is confirmation this year's La Ronge Neckbone as going ahead on the weekend of Saturday, February 4 and Sunday, February 5. The race format will be identical to what it has been in recent years. We will start in Stanley Mission on the morning of Saturday, February4 with teams leaving in interval starts beginning at 10:00 a.m. We will then race a distance of 80 km to La Ronge. There will then be a re-start at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 5 at the "Creighton junction" about 30 km south of La Ronge. We will then race 80 km via bush and lake trails to Weyakwin. Times from Day1 and Day 2 will be totalled for final placings. There will be a wind-up supper at Weyakwin on Sunday, February 5 at 6:00 p.m.
We can confirm the purse that is set out on our website at http://www.freewebs.com/larongeneckbone. The purse pays out $750 for 1st, $600 for 2nd, etc. for a total of $4,025.
