The Northern Alberta Winter Games Team is looking for 4 mushers and teams.
The age classes are from 15 through 16 and from 17 through 19 years of age. Each of the 2 classes will have one male and one female musher.
The mushers must reside in Alberta above the 55th parallel. This line runs through Ft. McMurray and Grande Prairie across the province. The Arctic Winter Games are being held in Grande Prairie Alberta this year and will host 5 separate provincial, territorial and national teams.
Interested mushers are required to register as soon as possible with the coach, Dr. Terry Quesnel so that team selection can take place in February 2010. Selection will be based on 2009-2010 race results. Please remember that you must register before the race season starts in order to qualify to be a member of the Northern Alberta Arctic Winter Games team.

Note: There is some support money to get the teams to Grande Prairie for the Arctic Winter Games. Most expenses are paid once the mushers, their handlers, the truck and team have arrived in Grande Prairie for the games as well.
